PLANTATION, Fla. \u2014 Meals on Wheels South Florida<\/a> announced on Wednesday the launch of a new program to help seniors who can\u2019t count on the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program<\/a> benefits.<\/p>\n The Plantation-based nonprofit organization\u2019s new Senior Snap Relief Program<\/a> provides four weeks of meals, including two deliveries with 14 dinners and 14 shelf-stable breakfast boxes.<\/p>\n \u201cOur goal with Senior Snap Relief is to provide immediate assistance to help our seniors continue to receive the nutrition they need while they navigate this challenging time.\u201d Wendy Bourgault, the organization\u2019s executive director, said in a statement. <\/p>\n To qualify, applicants have to submit an application<\/a> and a copy of their SNAP eligibility notice.
