Residential waste collection will begin at 5 a.m. from May 1 through Sept. 30 each year to help combat the summer heat.<\/p>\n

Each residence is provided a tan bin for household waste and a green bin for recyclables; both bins remain City property and must stay with the home. <\/p>\n

Residents should follow collection guidelines to ensure proper service, city officials said.<\/p>\n

Guidelines include:<\/p>\n

Trash Collection:<\/p>\n

Collection runs Monday through Friday. Residents can view their collection day online.<\/p>\n

Garbage, recycling, yard waste, and bulk waste are collected on the same day.<\/p>\n

Place bins at the edge of the road with wheels and handles facing the house.<\/p>\n

No collection on New Year\u2019s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day.<\/p>\n

When a holiday falls on a weekday, service is delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.<\/p>\n

Yard Waste:<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe City collects residential yard waste, including branches, limbs, grass clippings, leaves, weeds, fallen fruit, and palm fronds.<\/p>\n

Extra garbage and recycling:<\/p>\n

Place additional bagged garbage next to the cart when the bin is full.<\/p>\n

Set out extra recycling in a clearly labeled cardboard box.<\/p>\n
