At Community Foundation Tampa Bay, I have seen firsthand how scholarships not only provide financial<\/a> support but open doors and change the trajectory of lives. They are also one of the most meaningful and personal ways individuals, families, and businesses can give back.<\/p>\n

Since our founding in 1990, we have worked alongside generous fundholders to strengthen our region through philanthropy. Within one year a donor established our first scholarship fund. Today, we manage more than 130 funds created by individuals, families, corporations, and community organizations who share a common goal: investing in the future by providing educational scholarships and expanding access to higher education.<\/p>\n

The impact continues to grow. In 2025, a record-setting year, more than 550 students received over $2 million in scholarships in Tampa Bay through our network of fundholders. Behind each scholarship award is a story of perseverance, ambition, and someone who believed in a student\u2019s potential.<\/p>\n

What makes scholarship funds through Community Foundation Tampa Bay especially powerful is how personal and customizable they are. Fundholders can define eligibility criteria, participate in selection committees, and learn about the students their scholarships support.
