‘She’s very into astrology,’ a source told the Mail. ‘Katy said he is a solid guy and she loves that he is an earth sign, a Capricorn.’<\/p>\n

The pal added: ‘She is a Scorpio, like a total typical Scorpio, so she is very driven and headstrong. So she likes having an earth sign as a boyfriend because it grounds her.’<\/p>\n

Perry, 41, went public with her new relationship with the ex-Canadian Prime Minister, 53, at the weekend during a date in Paris.<\/p>\n

The singer split from ex-fiance Orlando Bloom \u2014 who is also a Capricorn \u2014 earlier this year and\u00a0‘Katy had been looking for a strong, older man to date who is also high profile,’ the friend said.<\/p>\n
