WILTON MANORS, Fla. \u2014 A man accused of pulling a gun on two people delivering his Uber Eats order is out of the Broward County jail.<\/p>\n
Devon Germano was seen making a quick exit after posting bond.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s charged with two counts of aggravated assault.<\/p>\n
According to arrest documents, the incident happened April 18 in the 2000 block of Northeast Ninth Avenue in Wilton Manors.<\/p>\n
Two people were making the delivery — a driver and a passenger.<\/p>\n
While dropping off the food, the driver told investigators he received a notification that the order had been canceled and asked the passenger to bring the food back so it could be returned to the restaurant, per Uber Eats policy.<\/p>\n
As they were picking up the order, Germano, 30, allegedly opened the door and shouted that they were stealing his food.<\/p>\n
According to documents, the driver told Germano the order had been canceled. Investigators say Germano then walked over to a white Tesla and said, \u201cI got something for you,\u201d before pulling out a gun and pointing it at the female passenger.<\/p>\n
She told investigators that, fearing for her life, she put the food on the ground and got into the vehicle.<\/p>\n
Investigators later obtained a search warrant for the Tesla and say they found a 9mm handgun and a USB drive.<\/p>\n
Both victims told investigators Germano \u201cintentionally threatened their lives by his actions.\u201d<\/p>\n
In court, a judge set bond at $15,000 and ordered no contact with the victims, along with no firearms or ammunition.<\/p>\n
Authorities later determined Germano\u2019s order had not been canceled. However, the next order the driver was scheduled to deliver had been.<\/p>\n
