{"id":253990,"date":"2026-05-01T14:25:46","date_gmt":"2026-05-01T14:25:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/253990\/"},"modified":"2026-05-01T14:25:46","modified_gmt":"2026-05-01T14:25:46","slug":"proposed-seafood-restaurant-recommended-for-riverfront-plaza","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/253990\/","title":{"rendered":"Proposed seafood restaurant recommended for Riverfront Plaza"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Evaluators from the Downtown Investment Authority voted Thursday to recommend a proposal from a Baltimore-based group to build and operate a restaurant on city-owned property in <a href=\"https:\/\/jaxtoday.org\/2025\/12\/05\/riverfront-plaza-official-opening\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Riverfront Plaza<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p id=\"h941948-p2\">The evaluation committee made the recommendation after scoring Atlas Restaurant Group\u2019s proposal for a seafood restaurant higher than a submission from St. Augustine-based PK Hospitality Group for the property on <a href=\"https:\/\/jaxtoday.org\/2026\/01\/22\/restaurant-riverfront-plaza\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the southwest corner<\/a> of the park on the Downtown Northbank.<\/p>\n<p>Atlas, which operates more than 50 restaurants, proposed to build a shell building that the city would own, then build out the shell and lease it.
