FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 Police are actively looking for a missing 14-year-old girl believed to be in the company of a 20-year-old man with active warrants. <\/p>\n
The Fort Pierce Police Department (FPPD) announced on Wednesday that officers are searching for Sophia McGriff, a 14-year-old mixed-race female, who was last seen on October 28, leaving Garden Avenue in Fort Pierce. Authorities believe she may be in danger and are working diligently to locate her.<\/p>\n
Sophia is reportedly in the company of Nehemiah Childress, a 20-year-old man who currently has active warrants for lewd computer solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a minor for unlawful sexual activity, according to FPPD. Sophia herself has two outstanding warrants for failure to appear.<\/p>\n
Police urge anyone with information about Sophia\u2019s whereabouts to contact the Fort Pierce Police Department immediately at (772) 979-1408.<\/p>\n
