Gulf Coast Village and the North Fort Myers Arts Association are set to launch \u201cBotanicals,\u201d the newest installation of the duo\u2019s rotating art gallery, on Wednesday, May 13.<\/p>\n
Kicking off with an artist meet-and-greet from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on May 13, \u201cBotanicals\u201d will showcase the beauty of nature through the eyes of artists with the North Fort Myers Arts Association, as well as Gulf Coast Village\u2019s own resident artists. From painting and mixed media to textiles and beyond, \u201cBotanicals\u201d will offer a unique interpretation of the natural world, made special by each participating artist.<\/p>\n
The exhibit\u2019s featured artist is Jola Martusewicz-Shani, whose work embodies movement, color and spirit of landscapes and botanicals from around the world. Her work is deeply influenced by her travels abroad and her enduring connection to nature.<\/p>\n
At the May 13 meet-and-greet and exhibit launch, guests can enjoy wine and cheese, meet the artists and engage with the stories behind each piece. Select artwork will be available for purchase. Guests can also place their votes for the People\u2019s Choice Award, with the winner announced at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n
