President Trump<\/a> on Friday addressed seniors at The Villages in Florida and touted his second-term achievements that have made life more affordable for those in their golden years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m much, much younger than the people in this room, but I feel I can relate to you anyway,\u201d the 79-year-old president joked at the world\u2019s largest retirement community<\/a>, before rattling off policy after policy his administration has pushed to benefit seniors.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump lauded the \u201clargest tax refunds of all time\u201d received by American seniors this year thanks to his One Big Beautiful Bill Act.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cHere in the Sunshine State, we\u2019ve issued 2.5 million Florida seniors over $13 billion,\u201d he noted.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThat means more money to visit your grandkids, a\u00a0 bigger budget for taking a trip to someplace that you want to go, or extra dinners out with your family \u2013 you\u2019re going to do a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

The president celebrated that as a result of last summer\u2019s sweeping agenda bill, \u201cmore than 51 million American seniors now pay a federal tax rate of zero.\u201d<\/p>\n

Getting the crowd involved, Trump polled his supporters on their favorite tax policy<\/a> in the One Big Beautiful Bill.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His \u201cNo Tax on Social Security\u201d benefits<\/a>\u00a0was the clear favorite with the 55 and over community.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Midway through his speech Trump brought a resident of The Villages on stage, who said she was \u201cshocked\u201d when she picked up her tax return and saw how much money her and her husband were getting back.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were just so thrilled \u2026 it was double what we thought we would get,\u201d Mary Alice explained. \u201cWe ended up using some of that money to pay for a new roof.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled that we were able to do that and we didn\u2019t deplete our savings account \u2026 this is all because of the no tax on Social Security.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump asserted \u201cour country is hot again,\u201d before telling the crowd, \u201cthese are your golden years, but these are really beyond your golden years. This is the golden age of America.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The president then tore into former President Joe Biden.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Under Biden, \u201cAmerican seniors were ravaged by the worst inflation in the history of our country,\u201d Trump said,\u00a0\u201cdevastating the budgets of senior citizens.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cUnder the Trump administration,\u201d he declared, \u201cwe\u2019re standing up for American seniors like no president has ever stood up before.\u201d<\/p>\n

The president touted his \u201cwar on fraud,\u201d which he insisted is preventing Medicare and Medicaid from \u201cbeing looted by criminals and thugs.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump also boasted about his administration\u2019s work at getting accelerated Medicare prior authorizations, calling it \u201ca big deal.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat used to take days and weeks and months to get, now you\u2019re getting it done in a matter of minutes,\u201d he claimed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe also dramatically increased coverage for outpatient clinical care,\u201d Trump continued, \u201cstopping seniors from being ripped off by billions of dollars of outrageous fees that they charge.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The president went on to tout his \u201cmost favored nation agreements,\u201d which have discounted some prescription drugs by as much as 800%.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve gotten you the largest reductions in history,\u201d he bragged.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had the highest price for prescription drugs anywhere in the world. And now we have the lowest prices anywhere in the world.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

On the economy, Trump noted stock markets hit record highs at the end of his first year back in the White House.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe stock market is rocking and rolling. Your 401ks are at the highest they\u2019ve ever been,\u201d he said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had the greatest financial markets in the history of our country in my first term \u2013\u00a0 we\u2019re blowing it away now.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The president urged seniors to get out and vote in November, warning if congressional Democrats \u201chad their way,\u201d seniors \u201cwould be paying higher taxes, higher prices.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
