{"id":254865,"date":"2026-05-02T02:37:10","date_gmt":"2026-05-02T02:37:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/254865\/"},"modified":"2026-05-02T02:37:10","modified_gmt":"2026-05-02T02:37:10","slug":"first-alert-weather-day-on-saturday-for-rain-and-storms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/254865\/","title":{"rendered":"First Alert Weather Day on Saturday for rain and storms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 The Action News Jax First Alert Weather Team has declared a First Alert Weather Day on Saturday due to widespread rain and storms.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">The rain will arrive in the morning to the west of Jacksonville and late morning\/midday along the coast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/weather\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">WATCH THE FORECAST<\/a> | <a href=\"https:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/mobile-apps\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">DOWNLOAD THE APPS<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">Strong storms producing gusty winds are possible along the leading edge of the line of storms.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">Here\u2019s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect:<\/p>\n<p>Saturday will begin dry, warm, and breezy then heavy showers and thunderstorms will spread west to east from mid-morning through the afternoon. A few strong storms will be possible, but the big story will be the much-needed soaking. Everyone will get rain with amounts averaging a half inch to 1.5\u201d, locally 2\u201d+.Skies will clear later Saturday night leading to a beautiful day Sunday; cooler, breezy, less humid, and lots of sun with highs only in the 70s.The workweek will begin nice and cool with temperatures inland in the 40s early Monday then afternoon highs near 80 with comfortable humidity.Temperatures warm again by Tuesday and Wednesday \u2013 80s to near 90.
