TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – More than 900 students graduated from Florida A&M University Saturday at the Al Lawson Center, celebrating a major milestone surrounded by family, friends and alumni.<\/p>\n
Cheers filled the arena as graduates walked across the stage, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.<\/p>\n
Among them was Sean Coleman, who earned his master\u2019s degree in social work after also completing his bachelor\u2019s at FAMU.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m officially done now. It\u2019s time to move on to the next stage,\u201d Coleman said. \u201cI feel like this day is motivation for everybody, not just the graduates, but people who aspire to graduate, get a degree, or are thinking about going back to school.\u201d<\/p>\n

FAMU alum Omar Goff delivered the commencement address. Three ceremonies were held throughout the day, at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Florida State University also celebrated its graduates<\/a> with three spring commencement ceremonies at the Tucker Center.
