St. Pete police say the man, later identified as Keith Rackett, 33, was calling in threats to their Communications Center and also made threatening statements on social media.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police, as well as a SWAT Team, responded to the scene, but Rackett reportedly barricaded himself inside the condo and threatened to harm his roommate \u2014 as well as officers.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;As the officers were here, he was streaming \u2014 video streaming \u2014 what he was doing inside the home,&#8221; Chief Anthony Holloway said at a media briefing on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Negotiators were in talks with Rackett until at least 3:30 p.m. Police said they were eventually able to get Rackett and his roommate out of their condo unharmed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a data-yga=\"{\" ylinkelement=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pinellassheriff.gov\/InmateBooking\/SubjectResults.aspx?id=2032172\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:Records show;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Records show <\/a>Rackett has been charged with false imprisonment and threatening public servant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">An investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A man has been taken into custody after an hours-long standoff at a St. Petersburg condominium complex.
