The incident unfolded around 4:15 p.m. at a security screening area staffed by the Secret Service and local police. A man \u201cbecame disruptive and failed to comply with lawful orders\u201d before making \u201cphysical contact\u201d with an agent, according to a statement obtained by NewsNation<\/a> from Acting Special Agent in Charge Michael Townsend of the Secret Service\u2019s Miami field office.<\/p>\n A conservative commentator obtained footage of the arrest and circulated it on social media, originally saying that it was unknown why he was detained:<\/p>\n The president was not at the golf resort at the time of the incident, though he arrived earlier Saturday morning and was seen on-site with family ahead of the PGA Tour event.<\/p>\n \u201cAt no point did this situation impact the established security posture for any upcoming visits to Trump Doral National Golf Club by Secret Service protectees,\u201d Townsend told NewsNation.<\/p>\n The unidentified suspect was handed over to the Doral Police Department<\/a>, who later booked him into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami for counts of disorderly conduct and resisting without violence.<\/p>\n
