Omar Goff, a FAMU alumnus and keynote speaker, donated $100,000 of his personal funds Saturday to support students at his alma mater.<\/p>\n
His gift immediately turned into something bigger.<\/p>\n
Two additional leaders matched his contribution, creating a powerful moment of giving at graduation that could impact generations of future Rattlers.<\/p>\n
A full-circle moment for a FAMU graduate<\/p>\n
Goff returned to campus not just as a speaker, but as a success story.<\/p>\n
A 2004 summa cum laude graduate, he now serves as an executive with Procter & Gamble. He previously led Mielle, one of the fastest-growing textured haircare brands in the country.<\/p>\n
But his message stayed grounded.<\/p>\n
\u201cStanding before you today is more than an honor. It is truly a full-circle moment,\u201d Goff said. \u201cBecause I am you.\u201d<\/p>\n
He spoke directly to graduates about uncertainty, growth and opportunity. His tone was conversational, mixing humor with real-life lessons.<\/p>\n

$100K donation becomes multi-part investment<\/p>\n
Goff announced his $100,000 gift to create a \u201cPossibility in Action\u201d endowment for FAMU\u2019s School of Business and Industry (SBI).<\/p>\n
Then the moment grew.<\/p>\n
Mielle founders Melvin and Monique Rodriguez pledged a matching entrepreneurship endowment<\/p>\n
TIAA CEO Thasunda Brown Duckett also committed to match the contribution<\/p>\n
Three relationships. Three investments. One impact.<\/p>\n
\u201cPossibility without action is just a dream,\u201d Goff said.<\/p>\n
Message to graduates: execute and lead<\/p>\n
Goff challenged the Class of 2026 to move beyond ambition.<\/p>\n
He shared five key principles:<\/p>\n
Make excellence your brand<\/p>\n
Be authentic and confident<\/p>\n
Execute, not just dream<\/p>\n
Lead when opportunities come<\/p>\n
Build meaningful relationships<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you earn your way into rooms of influence: speak, challenge and lead,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
FAMU sends off more than 1,200 graduates<\/p>\n
The ceremony honored 1,271 graduates across all 14 colleges and schools.<\/p>\n
FAMU President Marva B. Johnson reminded students that their connection to the university doesn\u2019t end at graduation.<\/p>\n
\u201cFAMU is who you are,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The graduating class now joins more than 80,000 alumni worldwide.<\/p>\n
