The waterfront property that once belonged to the late mobster Al Capone<\/a> will soon have a new owner.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The pending deal for the property, asking $23.5 million, is one of 18 luxury home contracts signed in Miami-Dade County between April 27 and May 3, according to the weekly report by Douglas Elliman\u2019s Eklund-Gomes team.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The report tracks listings of homes and condos asking $4 million and up in Miami-Dade that are included in the Multiple Listing Service. The properties spent an average of 138 days on the market.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fifty-one luxury listings were added to the market, for a total of 1,250 listings.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The previous week<\/a>, buyers signed 28 contracts for properties in Miami-Dade, asking a combined $275.5 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The asking dollar volume for the 14 single-family homes and four condos under contract last week totals $146.3 million, according to the report published by the team led by Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The single-family homes that entered into contract last week have an average asking price of $9.5 million and spent an average of 144 days on the market. They total $123.7 million in asking dollar volume.\u00a0<\/p>\n

At the top of the report is the lot at 93 Palm Avenue, which once belonged to Capone.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Prohibition-era gangster bought the home<\/a> in 1928 for $40,000. He died at the Palm Island property in 1947. The property was demolished in 2023. The seller is an LLC named after the property that paid $15.5 million for the lot in 2021. It\u2019s on the market with Joel Lusky of the Brokerage South Florida and Jordan Karp of Jordan Karp LLC.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The condos that secured buyers last week have an average asking price of $5.6 million and spent 116 days on the market, on average. They total $22.5 million in asking dollar volume, or an average of $1,780 per square foot.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Last week in New York, buyers signed contracts for 29 homes, according to Olshan Realty<\/a>. Their combined asking price is nearly $246 million, and the typical home spent 507 days on the market.<\/p>\n
