{"id":258680,"date":"2026-05-05T02:04:17","date_gmt":"2026-05-05T02:04:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/258680\/"},"modified":"2026-05-05T02:04:17","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T02:04:17","slug":"member-of-us-secret-service-arrested-in-miami-dade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/258680\/","title":{"rendered":"Member of US Secret Service arrested in Miami-Dade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text text--small text--normal text--primary\">Published:\u00a0May 4, 2026 at 9:32 PM<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla.  \u2014 The Chief of the Secret Service Uniformed Division has confirmed that the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office arrested an off-duty Secret Service officer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">John Andrew Spillman is accused of indecent exposure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">At the time of his arrest, Spillman was an employee of the U.S. Secret Service based in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Officials said he was immediately placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of the criminal case and internal review.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Secret Service Chief of Police Richard MacAuley released a statement to Local 10 News which read: <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWe are aware of the arrest of an off-duty Secret Service officer by the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office. The alleged conduct is unacceptable and stands in stark contrast to the professionalism and integrity that I demand of our personnel.
