(WCTV) &#8211; The Florida education commissioner blasted a Leon County school board member for his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2025\/09\/24\/florida-gop-condemns-leon-county-school-board-members-disgraceful-remarks-about-charlie-kirk\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2025\/09\/24\/florida-gop-condemns-leon-county-school-board-members-disgraceful-remarks-about-charlie-kirk\/\">comments on Charlie Kirk<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Anastasios Kamoutsas spoke at Tuesday night\u2019s board meeting and asked the board to hold Darryl Jones accountable. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cBoard member Darryl Jones has shown a disturbing willingness to engage in political theater to appease political fanatics and has encouraged teachers in Leon County to do the same,\u201d Kamoutsas said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">We reported last month that Jones called Charlie Kirk a quote \u201cracist, misogynist, homophobic klansman.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He posted that comment on social media after Kirk\u2019s murder. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He also criticized Kamoutsas for condemning anyone who commented on the murder. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Many residents spoke out about Jones\u2019 comment at last night\u2019s school board meeting &#8211; <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Some slammed him while others supported his right to free speech. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Tallahassee resident Juanda Beck Jones said he had a right to make those comments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI like what he had to say. I agree with what he had to say. But everybody might not agree with him.
