MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 A United States Secret Service employee has been arrested in Florida for allegedly exposing himself. <\/p>\n

John Andrew Spillman, 33, was taken into custody Monday morning and booked into the Miami-Dade jail on a charge of indecent exposure.<\/p>\n

According to WSVN<\/a>, in a statement, the Chief of the Secret Service emphasized that Spillman’s actions are “unacceptable” and go against the professionalism and integrity expected from their personnel.<\/p>\n

WSVN reported that Spillman was accused of exposing himself and following hotel guests at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Miami Airport & Convention Center, causing them to feel unsafe enough to retreat to their rooms. One woman told deputies that she and others were so frightened they had to enter their room for safety.<\/p>\n

Witnesses reported that Spillman had followed them in the hotel lobby and was later seen engaging in inappropriate behavior outside their hotel room. Hotel security was called, and they allegedly found Spillman with his pants down on the sixth floor, per WSVN.<\/p>\n

Spillman, who is originally from Marble Falls, Texas, was in South Florida on an assignment for the Secret Service related to the President’s visit for the 2026 Cadillac Championship golf tournament. <\/p>\n

The Chief of the Secret Service told WSVN that Spillman\u2019s actions were “unacceptable” and did not reflect the professionalism and integrity expected of the agency\u2019s personnel.<\/p>\n

Spillman appeared in bond court on Monday, where his bond was set at $1,000. He has been assigned a public defender and is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla.
