The affected routes were served by Spirit Airlines, which has ceased operations. In addition, JetBlue is offering a new loyalty status match for eligible Spirit Airlines Free Spirit Silver and Gold members; it is now available at jetblue.com and on the JetBlue mobile app.<\/p>\n<p>JetBlue will launch new nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale and destinations across the US, Latin America and the Caribbean, as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Six new JetBlue cities: Barranquilla and Cali, Colombia; Baltimore; Charlotte, N.C.; Columbus, Ohio; and Indianapolis<\/p>\n<p>New nonstop service from Fort Lauderdale to existing JetBlue cities: Nashville; Detroit; Houston; Chicago; and Ponce, Puerto Rico<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Additional daily flights to Austin; Aguadilla, Puerto Rico; Dallas\/Fort Worth; Raleigh-Durham; and Santo Domingo and Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"tag\" href=\"https:\/\/uatp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"728\" height=\"90\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/UATP_728x90_Ad_newbranding-2.jpg\" class=\"css-filter size-large\" alt=\"\" onclick=\"_gs('event', 'News Advert');\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The carrier will also launch service from San Juan to Baltimore\/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.<\/p>\n<p>Marty St. George, president, said, \u201cWe\u2019re stepping up for Fort Lauderdale to ensure the availability of air service in this market.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The new and expanded service, now available for booking, builds on JetBlue\u2019s position as Fort Lauderdale\u2019s largest airline, according to the announcement. With this growth, JetBlue expects to operate nearly 130 daily departures from Fort Lauderdale this summer, marking the largest operation in the airline\u2019s history from the airport and more than 75% more daily flights than in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>For a limited time, Spirit Airlines Free Spirit Silver and Gold members can request a status match to JetBlue\u2019s TrueBlue Mosaic program. \u201cWe know many Spirit customers are feeling the loss of the loyalty they built over time,\u201d said St. George. \u201cOur status match is designed to recognize that commitment and give them a seamless path forward with JetBlue \u2014particularly in Fort Lauderdale, where we\u2019re expanding service and offering more ways to travel with us.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"JetBlue announced it will expand its service from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
