(WHP) \u2014 Pennsylvania leaders are telling residents to act quickly if they&#8217;re financially impacted by Spirit Airline&#8217;s abrupt <a href=\"https:\/\/local21news.com\/news\/local\/airports-issue-guidance-for-travelers-following-spirit-airlines-closure-baltimore-bwi-philadelphia-pittsburgh-pennsylvania-pa-flight-delays-cancellation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">shutdown<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Attorney General Dave Sunday is advising those impacted by the shutdown to contact their credit card companies, third-party booking sites or Spirit directly to ask about refund options.<\/p>\n<p> If those efforts fail, Pennsylvanians can file a complaint with the Office of the Attorney General. <\/p>\n<p>READ MORE | <a href=\"https:\/\/local21news.com\/news\/nation-world\/spirit-airlines-said-many-customers-have-been-refunded-after-airline-shutdown-trump-administration-delta-american\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Spirit Airlines said many customers have been refunded after airline shutdown<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sunday said consumers should not go to the airport with questions about Spirit Airlines, as all Spirit flights have been canceled. However, Spirit does address some questions about refunds on its <a href=\"https:\/\/spiritrestructuring.com\/guests\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">website here. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>The attorney general also said consumers who booked a flight using their credit card can contact their credit card company to ask about disputing the charge. In that case, however, Sunday said consumers should act quickly to preserve their right to challenge the charges. <\/p>\n<p>Or, anyone who is waiting on a refund from a canceled Spirit flight and has already filed a dispute with their their credit card company can file a complaint with the Bureau of Consumer Protection. <\/p>\n<p>You can contact the Office of Attorney General&#8217;s Bureau of Consumer Protection by<a href=\"https:\/\/www.attorneygeneral.gov\/submit-a-complaint\/scams-complaint\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> clicking here<\/a> or calling 1-800-441-255.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRarely do we see such a large company shutdown so suddenly, and we know there are a lot of anxious and angry consumers out there looking for options,\u201d Sunday said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.attorneygeneral.gov\/taking-action\/attorney-general-sunday-offers-tips-to-consumers-impacted-by-the-sudden-shutdown-of-spirit-airlines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">press release<\/a>. \u201cI encourage those consumers to check with other airlines which are moving quickly to rebook passengers who were scheduled with Spirit Airlines. Consumers whose flight issues are not resolved should attempt to recover refunds, then consider reaching out to my office\u2019s Bureau of Consumer Protection.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"HARRISBURG, Pa.
