The 2,000-foot walk dances on top of a natural cypress swamp, serving as a breeding march for alligators and a nesting ground for migratory birds.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0The Swamp Walk is now even more of a living classroom, made possible with Conservation Florida, a nonprofit aimed at preventing unnecessary construction \u2014 and therefore, destruction \u2014 of land. \u201cThis was just the perfect opportunity to join forces and amplify both of our missions and to get more people to step out in nature and see why this is worth saving,\u201d said Taylor McHugh, Gatorland\u2019s director of strategic planning.<\/p>\n<p>5. Meanwhile, the sixth annual \u201cGatorpalooza\u201d festival is just weeks away, May 30 and 31, 2026. It features a live DJ, food vendors, craft vendors, and games.
