CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WINK) \u2014 A Cape Coral woman’s broken pool heater was fixed after she attended a WINK Listens<\/a> event on Matlacha.<\/p>\n

Sally Harris loves her pool, but her Gulfstream pool heater broke, and she needed to get it fixed. The touch screen broke, leaving her unable to operate the heater properly.<\/p>\n

“I went to touch it, and it’s still a piece, but it’s stuck now; it needs that new piece,” Harris said. “I looked online, that piece is $800. I don’t have that kind of money.”<\/p>\n

Harris tried repeatedly to contact Gulfstream without success. She eventually told her pool builder, a separate company, that she was planning to attend WINK Listens.<\/p>\n

The pool company called Gulfstream heaters on her behalf. A Gulfstream technician came out the same day as the WINK Listens event on Matlacha<\/a> and fixed the heater screen, which was under warranty.<\/p>\n

Harris only had to pay for the\u00a0labor. She expressed her gratitude for WINK’s help in resolving the issue.<\/p>\n

“I told three of my neighbors and all the texts I got about how great you are, and to go there when you have a problem,” Harris said. “Thank you so much for your help.”<\/p>\n

A Gulfstream representative said the company wanted to make the situation right. Their notes showed they left a message for Harris after one of her calls, but needed more information.<\/p>\n

The technicians fixed the issue, and Harris can now enjoy her pool again.<\/p>\n
