TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Tallahassee Police are seeing an uptick in indecent exposure incidents in the community, according to the police department.<\/p>\n
TPD statistics indicate that so far this year, they\u2019ve received 36 calls for service for indecent exposure. In 2025, police received 67 calls.<\/p>\n
If calls for service in connection to indecent exposure continue at the same pace this year, police could potentially see a little over 100 calls, which would be a 55% increase from last year.<\/p>\n

Police Chief Lawrence Revell said they take these cases very seriously \u201cbecause of the impact they can have on victims and the public\u2019s sense of safety.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThese incidents are especially concerning when they happen in places where people should feel secure, whether that\u2019s in their neighborhood, at a park, or near their home,\u201d he said. \u201cWhile substance abuse may be a contributing factor in some of these cases, it is not an excuse for this behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chief Revell encourages anyone who witnesses this type of activity to \u201cavoid approaching the individual, create distance, call 911 immediately, and provide as much information as possible so officers can respond quickly and appropriately.\u201d<\/p>\n
