A drug bust in Jacksonville seized a lot of fentanyl, marijuana, and other drugs.<\/p>\n

Jacksonville detectives recently removed more than 17 grams of fentanyl, 20 pounds of marijuana and various other drugs from the street after a bust in the Moncrief area.<\/p>\n

The investigation began when local detectives noticed drug activity at a house on West 21st Street and Moncrief Road in Jacksonville. The Narcotics Unit detectives continued to investigate, build a case, and establish probable cause for a search according to local law enforcement.<\/p>\n

Jacksonville Narcotics Unit detectives and SWAT Team served a search warrant at the house. According to local law enforcement, they found: 17.2 grams of fentanyl (8,600+ potentially deadly doses), 81.8 grams of cathinone, 33.4 grams of methamphetamine, 2.3 grams of heroin, 20.8 pounds of marijuana, a handgun and a rifle, and more than $500 in cash.<\/p>\n

As a result of what was found, detectives arrested 42-year-old Carlos Cooper. According to law enforcement, Cooper is a convicted felon with multiple drug charges in his past.<\/p>\n
