(WCTV) &#8211; A former Seminole has earned a Tony Award nomination, putting Florida State University on a national stage. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">FSU shared that alumna Christiani Pitts was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in the musical, \u201cTwo Strangers.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Pitts earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in music theatre from the FSU School of Theatre in 2015. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-center\">More Tallahassee news:<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">FSU says she was actually working with Florida State performers at the school\u2019s senior showcase the night before her nomination was announced. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Winners will be announced June 7 at Radio City Music Hall.
