On Wednesday, the Tampa Bay Rays<\/a> concluded their series with the Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> (at home) in Florida.<\/p>\n

They won by a score of 3-0 to complete the three-game sweep over Toronto.<\/p>\n

Following the Blue Jays, the Rays will now head to Boston for a series with the Red Sox<\/a> that starts on Thursday night at Fenway Park.<\/p>\n

G\u00f3mez started out his career with the New York Yankees, which is the longest stint he has had with one team (two and a half seasons).<\/p>\n

In that span, he went 1-1 with a 3.09 ERA in 12 games.<\/p>\n

Following the Yankees, G\u00f3mez spent time with the Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> (and Rays) over part of four seasons.<\/p>\n

Over 36 career games, G\u00f3mez has gone 3-3 with a 5.11 ERA.<\/p>\n

He could be a good (low-risk) addition to the Twins organization for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

They are 1.0 games back of the Yankees for first.<\/p>\n

Earlier this season, the Rays swept them (in Tampa Bay).<\/p>\n
