On Wednesday, the network <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/FOXSports\/status\/2052154391873151278?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">revealed its special correspondent<\/a> for all the action taking place this summer: none other than New York Giants quarterback <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/jameis-winston-55253\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jameis Winston<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The reveal came via a video segment with Jameis Winston breaking the news to various teammates and other FOX Sports analysts. One by one he gave away his new role.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve got two jobs, man,\u201d Winston told fellow quarterback <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/jaxson-dart-58358\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jaxson Dart<\/a>. \u201cOne job is to serve you and be the best I can be for you. The next job is I\u2019m a freaking World Cup FOX Sports correspondent, baby!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The excitement on Jameis Winston\u2019s face was easily noted. He was stoked to have a role doing some broadcasting, something he has dabbled in over the past few years in various guest-like capacities. He served FOX Sports at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans as a guest correspondent, delighting fans everywhere with his hits on the local culture and the entire scene.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCould you imagine seeing the World Cup through my eyes?\u201d Winston wondered aloud.<\/p>\n<p>Hilariously, some were stunned to find out Jameis Winston would be manning such a big post. Like former USMNT star Stu Holden, who asked Winston point blank how he got Holden\u2019s number.<\/p>\n<p>Winston also attempted to clear up the confusion for anyone wondering. You know\u2026 football.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike I\u2019m a football correspondent,\u201d he said. \u201cFootball with the feet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On his various calls with teammates, Jameis Winston made sure to extend a special invite, too. He wants them all to join him at the World Cup final later this summer.<\/p>\n<p>Most seemed downright stoked at the opportunity. Winston, who FaceTimed running back <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/cam-skattebo-18080\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cam Skattebo<\/a>, asked his shirtless teammate if he\u2019d also attend the World Cup without a shirt.<\/p>\n<p>The answer? Absolutely from Skattebo.<\/p>\n<p>It promises to be a fun summer with one of football\u2019s most entertaining players on the call.
