{"id":262019,"date":"2026-05-07T13:55:43","date_gmt":"2026-05-07T13:55:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/262019\/"},"modified":"2026-05-07T13:55:43","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T13:55:43","slug":"6-year-old-girl-dies-days-after-oldsmar-crash-injures-another-child-2-adults","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/262019\/","title":{"rendered":"6-year-old girl dies days after Oldsmar crash injures another child, 2 adults"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Officials say speed appears to be a factor in this crash, but not impairment. <\/p>\n<p>OLDSMAR, Fla. \u2014 A 6-year-old girl has died days after\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wtsp.com\/article\/news\/local\/pinellascounty\/children-hospitalized-injured-oldsmar-pinellas-crash\/67-98f899bc-e9c0-4384-b11d-d5b669a302a9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">a crash in Oldsmar<\/a> that left three other people injured.<\/p>\n<p>The Pinellas County Sheriff&#8217;s Office confirmed the child died on Wednesday after being sent to the hospital for life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The crash happened on Thursday when 27-year-old Jayanna Clark was driving eastbound on Tampa Road in a 2015 Nissan Altima.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Investigators say that as she was approaching the intersection of St. Petersburg Drive, 52-year-old Christy Proctor, who was driving a 2021 Tesla Model 3, was facing westbound in the turn lane on Tampa Road to go south onto St. Petersburg Drive.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Both cars entered the intersection at the same time and crashed in the middle, officials say.<\/p>\n<p>Proctor and Clark were taken to the hospital for minor injuries, while a 4-year-old boy in the car with Clark was receiving treatment for serious injuries. He has since been released from the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>PCSO says the 6-year-old girl was a passenger in the Nissan with Clark and the boy.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say speed appears to be a factor in this crash, but not impairment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Deputies are continuing to investigate this crash.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Officials say speed appears to be a factor in this crash, but not impairment.
