\n\tFor the first time, Inter Miami<\/a> is taking an equity stake in a brand partner.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Thursday, the South Florida MLS<\/a> franchise is announcing a multiyear sponsorship deal with health and longevity company Prenetics, with its IM8 subsidiary becoming the exclusive supplements partner of the club. Financial terms were not disclosed, nor was the size of Inter Miami\u2019s ownership interest in Prenetics.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cInter Miami is the most followed soccer club in the world right now,\u201d Prenetics co-founder and CEO Danny Yeung said in an email. \u201cThey have Messi. They have a cultural footprint that goes well beyond sport. And they\u2019re built on the same operating principle we are\u2014building a brand for the next decade, not the next quarter. It was the most obvious fit in sports for IM8.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe deal continues a robust run of sponsorship additions for Inter Miami, the most valuable team<\/a> in MLS at $1.45 billion. The club has added new or expanded brand deals with Adidas, Lowe\u2019s, Publix, Modelo, Audi and Ergo Next Insurance to its portfolio since the start of this year alone.<\/p>\n

\n\tInter Miami also moved into a new 26,700-seat stadium in April, signing a naming rights deal with Brazilian digital financial services company Nu that Sportico previously reported<\/a> is one of the largest naming rights deals for a soccer-specific stadium in MLS history.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s not a surprise to see IM8 join that group, since David Beckham<\/a>, who co-owns Inter Miami alongside Jorge and Jose Mas, co-founded the supplements brand. After launching in 2024, IM8 eclipsed $100 million in annual recurring revenue in only 11 months. Thus far, the company has supplied over 24 million servings of its products to more than 800,000 customers in 40-plus countries across the globe. IM8 projects its revenue will fall between $180 million and $200 million in 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tInter Miami\u2019s shares in Prenetics, which trades on the Nasdaq, sit at the club level. The equity provides standard public company shareholder rights, but the deal does not include a board seat. There\u2019s also a \u201ccustomary\u201d lock-up period before the franchise can engage in a secondary sale of the stock, Yeung noted. Prenetics closed at $15.90 on Wednesday with a market cap north of $250 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tBeckham isn\u2019t the only athlete with equity in Prenetics. Its cap table includes two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, four-time Grand Slam champion tennis player Aryna Sabalenka and Formula 1 driver Ollie Bearman.<\/p>\n

\n\tUnder the arrangement, IM8 will get branding at Inter Miami\u2019s training center, and its products will be made available to all players and staff. It will also be featured across Nu Stadium, with LED field-level signage, concourse displays and scoreboard commercials, as well as a presence on the club\u2019s website and a co-branded digital content series.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe pact also gives IM8 NIL rights for a minimum of four Inter Miami players. That includes Lionel Messi<\/a>, MLS\u2019 biggest star and highest-paid player<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m not going to pretend Messi isn\u2019t a factor\u2014he\u2019s the biggest athlete on the planet,\u201d Yeung wrote. \u201cBut Inter Miami as a club, a culture and a global platform stands on its own. We\u2019d want this partnership either way.\u201d<\/p>\n
