A new homebuilder specializing in luxury infill homes has just completed a home in Winter Park, and it will hit the market in time for the 73rd Annual Parade of Homes<\/a>, which kicks off this weekend and runs through May 17.<\/p>\n

The home at 1910 Glencoe Rd.<\/a> is listed for $3.29 million and is new in many ways.<\/p>\n

\u201cReally interesting builder. They really just started building in Orlando about two years ago, and they\u2019re very into urban infill,\u201d explained listing agent Chris Christensen with The Christensen Group<\/a> about builder LUIH<\/a>, which stands for Luxury Urban Infill Homes.<\/p>\n

This is LUIH\u2019s debut in the event, which is sponsored by The Greater Orlando Builders Association (GOBA)<\/a>. This year\u2019s parade of homes features 60 homes and apartment communities across Greater Orlando.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey built it specifically for Parade of Homes with really awesome finishes,\u201d Christensen told GrowthSpotter. \u201cThese guys built the spec home more like a custom home, adding a lot of detail and working with an interior designer to add some finishes that make it different from the other houses out there.\u201d<\/p>\n

This 3,788-square-foot home is far from boring both inside and out.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like the fact that they did a lot of architectural detail, so it\u2019s a mixture of stucco and stone and wood. I feel like a lot of people are just doing these plain white boxes where it\u2019s just all white stucco with black windows, rather than adding some detail with some other finishes.\u201d<\/p>\n

There are four bedrooms, with two being primary suites \u2014 one on the main level and another upstairs.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe primary bedroom upstairs has a great closet. They did a built-in makeup area, built-in clothes hamper, all LED lighting everywhere, custom hardware on all the drawers and doors. The closets in that house are really nice,\u201d he said when asked about one of his favorite features.<\/p>\n

The second floor has a loft and a fourth en suite bedroom, which is staged as an office.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery single bathroom in the house is different with the wallpaper and different tiles,\u201d he said \u201cThere\u2019s a small half-bath where they spent a lot of money on it with very nice light fixtures, wallpaper, and a really nice marble vanity. They added detail to that bathroom, which is the one that most people will use when they\u2019re at the house.\u201d<\/p>\n

The chef\u2019s kitchen has a waterfall island, Thermador appliances, and a secret.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has a really cool hidden pantry. It looks like a wall of cabinets, but if you push on it, a secret door opens up, and there\u2019s a walk-in hidden pantry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Everything in the house seems to come together.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis feels very comfortable, very relaxing, something that when you come home, your stress level would definitely come down a bit,\u201d Christensen said, adding the home is staged with a furniture package from Sierra<\/a> worth about $100-$150 thousand, which is available for purchase.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone could technically buy it exactly the way they see it in the Parade of Homes, bring a toothbrush and move right in,\u201d he said with a laugh.<\/p>\n

The house sits on a quarter-acre corner lot, which created a challenge, both because of the two setbacks and where to put the pool.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat they ended up with is a very large side yard, so for someone with kids and a family and stuff like that, you got a great yard for kids to play,\u201d Christensen said, adding that while the pool is actually on the side, it\u2019s a bit of an illusion. \u201cIf you look at the front of the house to the right, there\u2019s a bunch of windows there, and it looks like it\u2019s a part of the house, but that\u2019s actually into the covered patio and summer kitchen areas.\u201d<\/p>\n

The home isn\u2019t too big or too small.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019d be surprised how much the layout of a house can change how big it feels. I\u2019ve had houses that are 4,500 square feet that feel smaller than this house, at 3,800, so the floor plan makes a big difference,\u201d he explained. \u201cIt feels much bigger than it is, and since it\u2019s lengthwise on the lot, it\u2019s got a very impressive front fa\u00e7ade, and it looks like a very big house.\u201d<\/p>\n

The home will be available for touring<\/a> as part of the Parade of Homes on Saturday, May 9 and May 16,\u00a0 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey had never done a Parade of Homes before, so they just wanted to kind of try it out this year and see how it goes. And then maybe next year they would do more than a single day.\u201d<\/p>\n
