OLDSMAR \u2014 A 6-year-old girl has died from injuries sustained in a serious two-vehicle crash in Oldsmar that occurred last week, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team are continuing to investigate the crash, which happened on April 30, 2026, at approximately 4:42 p.m. at the intersection of Tampa Road and St. Petersburg Drive.<\/p>\n

Investigators say 27-year-old Jayanna Clark, of St. Petersburg, was driving a 2015 Nissan Altima eastbound on Tampa Road when her vehicle collided with a westbound 2021 Tesla Model 3 driven by 52-year-old Christy Proctor, who was attempting to turn south onto St. Petersburg Drive.<\/p>\n
According to investigators, both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time and collided in the middle of the intersection.<\/p>\n
Proctor suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.<\/p>\n
Clark was also transported with minor injuries along with two juvenile passengers. A 4-year-old boy suffered serious injuries and a 6-year-old girl suffered life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
On May 7, 2026, the Sheriff\u2019s Office announced that the 6-year-old passenger had succumbed to her injuries. The 4-year-old passenger has since been released from the hospital.<\/p>\n
Investigators said speed appears to have been a factor in the crash. Impairment does not appear to be a factor.<\/p>\n
The investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
