(WCTV) &#8211; A Tallahassee mother is putting out an emotional plea to drivers this Mother\u2019s Day weekend to watch out for motorcyclists on the road. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Kris McElhenny was killed in a crash at the corner of Capital Circle and Centerville Road 24 years ago today. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-center\">Watch previous coverage:<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">His family teams up with Lamar Advertising each year to put up billboards with his picture on them &#8211; to remind drivers to look twice and spare other families the pain they\u2019ve experienced. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Kris\u2019 mother, Tina McElhenny, said they hope the billboards encourage drivers to be more aware of motorcyclists on the road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cPeople don\u2019t realize how that changes your life. How empty&#8230;when you realize all he\u2019s missed out on, but also look at all we\u2019ve missed out on. I just wish people would realize that when they\u2019re driving and pay more attention.
