Miami\u2019s most delightfully retro social activity is rolling back into town, this time with waterfront views, disco energy and six straight weeks of skating under the old Pan Am hangar in Coconut Grove.<\/p>\n

Bayskate<\/a>, the city\u2019s increasingly beloved pop-up roller rink experience, officially returns this Friday, May 8, taking over the historic hangar at Regatta Harbour through June 14. The concept turns the massive Biscayne Bay-front venue into a full-scale roller rink and nightlife destination, complete with live DJs, cocktails, food, outdoor lounges and themed programming running Thursdays through Sundays. (Think more Studio 54 vibes, versus a kid\u2019s birthday at the rink.)<\/p>\n

\u201cBayskate has always been about activating unique spaces and bringing people together in a way that feels authentic to Miami,\u201d founder Marcos Mac\u00edas said in a statement. \u201cReturning to Regatta Harbour gives us an extraordinary canvas to create something truly unforgettable.\u201d<\/p>\n

And honestly, the setting is key here. The Historic Pan Am Hangar\u2014one of Miami\u2019s more atmospheric event spaces\u2014sits directly on the water in Coconut Grove<\/a> and already feels like a fever dream from another decade. Then, add roller skates, colored lights and hip-hop DJs.<\/p>\n

Beyond the rink itself, Bayskate is leaning hard into the social side. There\u2019ll be a full cocktail program curated alongside the nearby Bayshore Club team, outdoor patio hangouts, lounge seating and even rinkside table reservations for groups. Families get their own daytime skating sessions on weekends with lower admission prices and extended hours, while hardcore skaters can grab season passes for unlimited access.<\/p>\n

The event has quietly become one of Miami\u2019s more unexpected success stories in recent years, earning accolades from organizations including the American Advertising Federation, the Miami Foundation and Miami New Times, which named it the city\u2019s best roller-skating event.<\/p>\n

Bayskate runs from May 8 through June 14 at the Historic Pan Am Hangar at Regatta Harbour.
