{"id":264521,"date":"2026-05-09T07:12:30","date_gmt":"2026-05-09T07:12:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/264521\/"},"modified":"2026-05-09T07:12:30","modified_gmt":"2026-05-09T07:12:30","slug":"1-arrested-after-being-accused-of-killing-2-men-inside-miami-apartment-victims-23-and-28-were-brothers-wsvn-7news-miami-news-weather-sports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/264521\/","title":{"rendered":"1 arrested after being accused of killing 2 men inside Miami apartment; victims, 23 and 28, were brothers &#8211; WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MIAMI (WSVN) &#8211; A man has been arrested in connection with the <a href=\"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/news\/local\/miami-dade\/mdfr-1-dead-1-in-critical-condition-after-victims-found-following-fatal-shooting-in-miami\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">murder of two brothers found inside a Miami apartment<\/a>, as more new details in this case are revealed.<\/p>\n<p>Thirty-one-year-old Antwan Carter is accused of pulling the trigger, fatally shooting 23-year-old Jaheim Pierre and 28-year-old Gianni Pierre.<\/p>\n<p>He appeared in bond court on Monday, where he was charged with first-degree murder and was not issued a bond.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou were arrested for two counts of first-degree murder,\u201d said Judge Mindy S. Glazer. <\/p>\n<p>According to Miami Police, Carter opened fire inside the apartment located in the 5300 block of Northwest 17th Avenue on May 2.<\/p>\n<p>Surveillance cameras captured the moments before the deadly encounter. Seconds later, the sound of rapid gunfire is heard as at least 10 gunshots are fired.<\/p>\n<p>Detectives arrived to find the 23 and 28-year-olds dead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBe advised, we\u2019ve got two shots,\u201d said an officer to the dispatcher. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need two fire rescues. Two Black males, both of them with gunshot wounds,\u201d said another officer to the dispatcher.<\/p>\n<p>Officers said Carter, the alleged shooter, was still at the complex and was quickly handcuffed.<\/p>\n<p>According to the arrest report, the witness told responding officers that she was inside the apartment with her boyfriend, Carter, when \u201cher brothers came over to look after her due to a previous history of domestic violence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>An argument occurred, leading Carter to grab a gun from his car, return to the apartment, and open fire against the two men, police said.<\/p>\n<p>The arrest report goes on to say that Carter then told his girlfriend, \u201cSee what you made me do?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carter remains behind bars.
