A BSO spokeswoman said deputies arrived at the scene and found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. <\/p>\n
North Lauderdale Fire Rescue personnel transported both victims to a local hospital, where one of them died.<\/p>\n
A Local 10 News crew was at the scene later in the morning as investigators remained at the scene, placing evidence markers on the ground before a Ford Mustang was towed away.<\/p>\n
The driver\u2019s side window was blown out by bullets.<\/p>\n
Residents who live in the neighborhood told Local 10 News that they heard the sound of gunshots around 1 a.m.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was coming home from a long night,\u201d one man said. \u201cI got home, I fell asleep and I woke up to gunshots, like they were pumping magazines or something that it woke me up.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bloody bandages and medical supplies were spotted at the scene after the incident.<\/p>\n
A BSO spokeswoman said deputies later found the suspect vehicle near the 1300 block of Avocado Isle in Fort Lauderdale, where the driver was taken into custody.<\/p>\n
The driver\u2019s identity has not yet been released.<\/p>\n
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. <\/p>\n
