We realize it’s been half a century and things get lost, but if you have any photos of yourself, your friends or your family celebrating America’s Bicentennial in Jacksonville on July 4, 1976, we’d love to see them.

Jacksonville threw the U.S. a heck of a birthday party that day, with historical re-enactors, bike races, festivals, ship tours and what’s been described as the biggest parade in city history.

If you’ve got some old snapshots from that day, please share yours with us and we’ll share them with readers when this year’s celebration rolls around.

Here’s how: Upload a digital copy of your photo using this link: https://spanner.imagn.com/ugc/6018Z45qEii4cifh6z5asLh9MHF (You can also use this shorter link: bit.ly/4wlwuIw)

Hundreds of thousands of people participated in Bicentennial activities in Jacksonville in 1976. If you have any local photos from that day, we’d love to share them.
