TALLAHASSEE, Fla. \u2013 The University of Kentucky women\u2019s golf team will play in one of the six NCAA Women\u2019s Golf Regionals across the country this Monday through Wednesday, vying for one of the 30 spots \u2013 five spots at each regional \u2013 \u00a0to advance to the NCAA Women\u2019s Golf Championship in late May.<\/p>\n
The Wildcats will compete as the sixth seed in the 12-team Tallahassee Regional at Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, Florida. They\u2019ll tee off in the first round Monday beginning at 8 a.m. ET off the 10th tee, paired with Eastern Michigan and Florida State.<\/p>\n
Babygrande Golf will livestream<\/a> all six regional sites this week, delivering unprecedented access to one of the most important stages in college golf. The livestream will feature live commentary, on-course cameras and highlights for all rounds.<\/p>\n Fans also can follow live scoring<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Wildcats will be competing in an NCAA Regional for the first time since 2023-24. While the program barely missed the field last season because of the newly implemented .500 rule, then-senior Marta L\u00f3pez Echevarr\u00eda competed as an individual. Before that, the Cats had made four straight NCAA Regionals from 2021-24.<\/p>\n Overall, it will mark the program\u2019s 22nd regional appearance in program history and its 11th regional appearance in Golda Borst\u2019s 16 seasons as head coach.<\/p>\n For the fourth straight season, the top five teams at each regional \u2013 and the top individual not on an advancing team \u2013 will improve to the final site.<\/p>\n The 12 teams selected to the NCAA Tallahassee Regional are as follows:<\/p>\n #3 Florida The Wildcats have met six of the 11 opponents, including Florida (0-1), Wake Forest (1-2), Florida State (1-1), Purdue (1-1), Clemson (2-0) and North Florida (1-0). They boast a 6-5 record in meetings against those opponents.<\/p>\n Kentucky is currently ranked 34th in the nation, according to Scoreboard powered by Clippd, boasting a 290.8 stroke average through 11 tournaments in 2025-26. The Wildcats have logged six top-three finishes through 11 tournaments, including most recently in the regular-season finale at the Terps Invitational. There, the Cats went 2-under as a team and finished second place out of 16 teams.<\/p>\n Cathryn Brown, an All-Southeastern Conference Second Team selection, is leading the team with an impressive 71.8 stroke average and a 70.6 adjusted stroke average.
