{"id":266122,"date":"2026-05-11T00:43:15","date_gmt":"2026-05-11T00:43:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/266122\/"},"modified":"2026-05-11T00:43:15","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T00:43:15","slug":"fallen-miami-dade-k9-officer-to-be-honored-in-washington-dc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/266122\/","title":{"rendered":"Fallen Miami-Dade K9 officer to be honored in Washington DC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla.  \u2014 A fallen South Florida K9 officer will be among 23 four-legged heroes honored by the National Police Dog Foundation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Roxi was an 8-year-old yellow lab who started in the Miami-Dade Narcotics Unit in 2017. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cShe\u2019s a police officer in our eyes, just like a human, and we hope that today we can show everyone that we honor her and we miss her,\u201d said Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s K9 Unit Sgt.
