TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A man who was shot and killed overnight Saturday in the parking lot of a pool hall<\/a> in Tallahassee has been identified.<\/p>\n

The victim was identified by Tallahassee Police in a statement Monday afternoon as Jatives Moate. The Sylvester, Georgia man was 34 years old at the time of his death, according to his online obituary<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Moate\u2019s identification comes just a couple of days after police initially announced in a press release early Saturday morning that officers responded to the shooting, which occurred just after 2 a.m. in the parking lot of Pockets Pool and Pub, located in the 2800 block of Sharer Road.<\/p>\n

In its statement, the police department revealed that officers who responded to the scene said a man, later identified as Moate, was found with multiple gunshot wounds. <\/p>\n

\u201cLife-saving measures were attempted, however the male died as a result of the injuries he sustained,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n

Just a day after the shooting occurred, the local pool hall shared a statement on social media Sunday afternoon, saying that \u201cwhile this incident did not occur on Pockets\u2019 property, we understand the concerns and emotions surrounding the situation.\u201d<\/p>\n

As of Monday afternoon, no arrests have been announced, but Tallahassee Police said they are tracking down all leads.<\/p>\n
