{"id":267830,"date":"2026-05-12T11:01:37","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T11:01:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/267830\/"},"modified":"2026-05-12T11:01:37","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T11:01:37","slug":"miami-university-student-arrested-for-possession-trafficking-cocaine-police-say-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/267830\/","title":{"rendered":"Miami University student arrested for possession, trafficking cocaine, police say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">OXFORD, Ohio (WXIX) &#8211; A Miami University student is behind bars after he was caught with cocaine by postal inspectors Friday afternoon, according to the City of Oxford Division of Police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Will Esler, 22, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug trafficking after U.S. Postal Inspectors searched his home in the 200 block of South College Avenue just after noon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">During the search, authorities seized cocaine, electronics and paraphernalia, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Esler, along with three other men, was taken to the Oxford Police Department for questioning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Esler is being held at Butler County Jail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Police said that his arrest was a part of an ongoing, monthslong investigation.
