It is expected to be demolished, to open up the Frontierland walkways as construction continues on <a href=\"https:\/\/wdwnt.com\/piston-peak-national-park-construction-updates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" aria-describedby=\"external-link-warning\">Piston Peak National Park<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Big Al\u2019s Construction Walls<a data-fslightbox=\"1\" data-type=\"image\" aria-label=\"Open fullscreen lightbox with current image\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wdw-mk-big-als-construction-walls-8664-1-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wdw-mk-big-als-construction-walls-8664-1-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"After permanently closing, the Big Al's merchandise kiosk at Magic Kingdom is now surrounded by construction walls.\" class=\"wp-image-1426917\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The stand is completely blocked by walls that also run around nearby planters. The chimney and \u201cBig Al\u2019s\u201d sign are still visible so demolition has not begun.<\/p>\n<p>A small nearby kiosk is not surrounded by walls but it\u2019s still closed.<\/p>\n<p><a data-fslightbox=\"1\" data-type=\"image\" aria-label=\"Open fullscreen lightbox with current image\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wdw-mk-big-als-construction-walls-8691-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wdw-mk-big-als-construction-walls-8691-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"After permanently closing, the Big Al's merchandise kiosk at Magic Kingdom is now surrounded by construction walls.\" class=\"wp-image-1426922\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We can see more of Big Al\u2019s through the construction walls behind it. The kiosk was already\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wdwnt.com\/2026\/03\/frontierland-kiosks-disappear-digital-park-map\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" aria-describedby=\"external-link-warning\">removed from the park\u2019s digital map<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n<p><a data-fslightbox=\"1\" data-type=\"image\" aria-label=\"Open fullscreen lightbox with current image\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wdw-mk-big-als-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wdw-mk-big-als-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1389173\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Big Al\u2019s\u00a0was located directly outside Country Bear Musical Jamboree. It began as a ticket booth when Magic Kingdom opened in 1971 before becoming a carving location. It was a gift shop since 1989, selling merchandise like coonskin caps, cowboy hats, and bubble wands. According to the story, it\u2019s Al\u2019s cabin that he turned into a shop to bank on the success of the Country Bears.<\/p>\n<p>After the demolition of Big Al\u2019s, the last remaining former ride ticket booths in the park would be the current\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wdwnt.com\/2025\/12\/tomorrowland-disney-vacation-club-kiosk-gets-makeover-disney-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" aria-describedby=\"external-link-warning\">Disney Vacation Club kiosk<\/a>\u00a0in Tomorrowland and a portion of the Memento Mori facade in Liberty Square.<\/p>\n<p>The Westward Ho snack stand is also <a href=\"https:\/\/wdwnt.com\/2026\/04\/likely-big-als-and-westward-ho-closing-dates-magic-kingdom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" aria-describedby=\"external-link-warning\">expected to close<\/a> this summer while nearby snack carts will be relocated.<\/p>\n<p>How do you feel about Big Al\u2019s closing?
