The Florida State Seminoles<\/a> and Georgia Bulldogs<\/a> may have canceled their home-and-home<\/a> series last week, but the two programs are still set to play. In the announcement that the series was canceled, FSU athletics director Michael Alford said they were discussing a neutral-site game and that he was optimistic they could get it done.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, he confirmed that it was happening, telling On3’s Brett McMurphy that they would play in 2028. They have not announced a location, but are deciding between Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, Nashville, New Orleans, Orlando, and Tampa.<\/p>\n

FSU and Georgia<\/a> have played 13 times before, with the Bulldogs leading the all-time series 7-4-1. The most recent matchup was the 2023 Orange Bowl, when a depleted FSU team was crushed in Miami. They have not played in the regular season since 1965.<\/p>\n

The schedule for FSU’s 2028 season has not been finalized, but they will play nine ACC games before ending the season against the Florida Gators<\/a> in Tallahassee.
