TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Leon County commissioners voted 4-2 to revive a historical harm charter amendment on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The charter amendment now goes back to a citizens committee to work up the language.<\/p>\n
The amendment, titled \u201chistorical harms\u201d would identify past injustices and pay for future fixes. The measure previously stalled after the Leon County Charter Review Committee tied 9-9,<\/a> but was revived in March before landing before the commission.<\/p>\n More Tallahassee news:<\/p>\n A month ago, commissioners voted 6-1 to revive the amendment, but change the language so as not to violate any state or federal law.
