A plane flying from Mexico has crashed in Galveston, Texas, as the aircraft was attempting to land in difficult and foggy conditions.<\/p>\n

MELBOURNE BEACH, Flo. \u2013 First responders were sent scrambling after a plane carrying 11 people crashed into the ocean<\/a> off the coast of Florida<\/a> on Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The U.S.<\/a> Coast Guard’s Southeast Division said they’re actively searching for an airplane that crashed about 80 miles off Melbourne.<\/a><\/p>\n

It’s unknown why the plane crashed, but storms were reported in the area at the time, according to the FOX Forecast Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Weather conditions in Melbourne, Florida, consisted of 17 mph wind<\/a> speeds, with a high chance for showers and thunderstorms<\/a>, and an 80% chance of precipitation<\/a>, according to the National Weather Service.<\/p>\n

The Coast Guard said all 11 people are reportedly accounted for and are being brought to emergency medical services for further evaluation.<\/p>\n

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) told our affiliate, FOX 35<\/a>, that the plane was traveling between islands in the Bahamas when it crashed, and the cause remains under investigation.<\/p>\n

Everyone onboard the plane has been taken to the hospital for treatment, according to Brevard County officials.<\/p>\n
