\u201c(Proctor) is a really big human with great feet and good movement skills. And quite honestly, when you can do that, you could play anywhere up front. Now, he played mainly left side in college. So we\u2019re going to keep him on the left side whether it\u2019s guard or tackle. That’s the bigger transition more often than not. When you start flipping guys sides up front and they\u2019re not used to it? That\u2019s generally harder than\u2026tackle to guard situations. I\u2019d say the only thing that changes is it\u2019s a hair faster at guard and there\u2019s a hair more space when you\u2019re out at tackle. Proctor will be started as a left side only player one year after the prior Dolphins regime drafted Jonah Savaiinaea<\/a> and charged him with both a position and side flip all at once. That flipping of sides was something that 2025 rookie Jonah Savaiinaea conceded proved challenging last year during training camp. And his play as a rookie would suggest it was a battle for much of the year. <\/p>\n Savaiinaea, of course, moves back to the right side this season as a result.<\/p>\n Miami<\/a>\u2019s plan for what happens in 2026 if right tackle Austin Jackson<\/a> goes down for a period of time? That is the bigger unanswered question. Miami may opt to keep Proctor from moving around too much too fast as a rookie to help build confidence and a strong consistency in his execution before pulling on too many strings at once. It sounds like, at the very least, that would be Miami\u2019s preference for now.
