With training camp still over two months away, the Miami Dolphins<\/a> have unfortunately announced that rookie running back Le\u2019Veon Moss won’t be present for it.<\/p>\n

The Dolphins signed Moss as an undrafted free agent on May 8. The talented running back from Texas A&M had 1,767 yards and 22 touchdowns on 321 rushing attempts during his college career. He also hauled in 24 passes for 236 yards.<\/p>\n

Earlier this Tuesday, the Dolphins placed Moss on the reserve\/retired list. Fans were understandably bummed out by this news.<\/p>\n

“This stinks Le\u2019Veon Moss was a fun prospect that I thought had a chance of making the roster Hope everything is okay with him personally,” one person said.<\/p>\n

“Football is such a cruel mistress,” one fan commented. “Le\u2019Veon absolutely had the skillset to be an NFL<\/a> running back, but he battled injuries his entire tenure at Texas A&M.”<\/p>\n

“Shame. Was hoping the injuries were behind him and we can find a diamond in the rough,” another fan wrote.<\/p>\n

Evaluating Miami’s RB room.<\/p>\n

While the Dolphins may have not seen this move coming, their backfield is still in great shape with De\u2019Von Achane, Jaylen Wright<\/a>, Ollie Gordon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Achane will lead the charge for Miami’s running back room this fall. He was outstanding in 2025, racking up 1,838 yards and 12 touchdowns from scrimmage.<\/p>\n

The only concern regarding Achane is that his contract situation hasn’t been sorted out yet, but that could change in the coming months.<\/p>\n

“He’s not available for trade,” Dolphins<\/a> general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan said when asked about Achane. “Things are going good — we’ve had some positive conversations over the past couple days, trending in the right direction. He’s obviously very important to what we’re doing … We’ll get to where we need to be, one way or another.”<\/p>\n

The Dolphins are currently projected to finish last in the AFC East<\/a>.<\/p>\n
