{"id":269521,"date":"2026-05-13T14:46:18","date_gmt":"2026-05-13T14:46:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/269521\/"},"modified":"2026-05-13T14:46:18","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T14:46:18","slug":"smu-kicks-off-2026-football-season-on-road-vs-florida-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/269521\/","title":{"rendered":"SMU kicks off 2026 football season on road vs. Florida State"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0ACC announced Tuesday when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/sports\/smu-mustangs\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">SMU<\/a>\u2019s 2026 football season will begin.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Mustangs will kick off their season at 6:30 p.m. CT on the road at Florida State on Monday, Sept. 7, for a nationally televised game on ESPN on Labor Day.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This will be the second meeting in the all-time series between the two teams.
