\u201cWe made it harder on ourselves than it needed to be, but we did\u00a0a good job\u00a0responding when they tied it.\u00a0I think we\u00a0needed to look for that third goal quicker and put the game away. By not doing that, we gave Philly some\u00a0hope\u00a0and they did\u00a0a good job\u00a0fighting back.\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0really proud\u00a0of the guys for sticking with it, staying\u00a0confident\u00a0and getting the win.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u00a0have to\u00a0refocus during those vulnerable moments when your guard is down. We\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0do\u00a0a good job\u00a0locking back in after they scored. We let them continue to put away chances and made it a little too easy on them by allowing numbers around the box. We\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0get enough numbers back,\u00a0myself\u00a0included. We\u00a0have to\u00a0be better defensively as a group when the other team is in transition. Luckily, we were able to score one more than them.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0tough to give up three, but we were able to win.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0necessarily talk when we went up 3-1 because it happened in the second half, so we were all on the field. Starting with myself and going through the experienced players we had out there, we need to find a way to be more professional in closing out these types of games. This starts with me. We need to finish games in a way that completely takes the opponent out of it, and this is a match where we\u00a0definitely could\u00a0have done that. We gave them opportunities to get back into the game when we\u00a0shouldn\u2019t\u00a0have. For me,\u00a0first,\u00a0and then for the rest of the group, I think we can be more professional in those moments, whether we talk at halftime or not. The message from\u00a0the\u00a0head coach\u00a0was to celebrate the wins. This league goes up and\u00a0down\u00a0and there\u00a0are no easy matches. When you win, you celebrate. There are a lot of things to learn, no doubt, and he emphasized that too. But we celebrate the win, we celebrate three points at home and then we look forward to Atlanta on Saturday.\u201d <\/p>\n
On\u00a0starting games\u00a0better <\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u00a0comes personally from me, and Mart\u00edn [Perelman] has talked to the group about being vocal and starting games with energy. If you look back at the last two matches, we\u00a0haven\u2019t\u00a0necessarily started that way. The Montr\u00e9al game stayed 0-0 for a while, but we all agreed the start\u00a0wasn\u2019t\u00a0great. The Inter Miami game before that was also not a good start.\u00a0So\u00a0for us, the clear message was how we can start this game with energy. Mart\u00edn\u00a0[Perelman]\u00a0spoke to the whole group about how we bring that energy onto the field to open the game. For me personally, speaking up helps me. It helps me get going.
