The Hatters are 36-20 but played a challenging schedule that featured six games against top 25 teams. Stetson was 0-6 in those games and are 0-11 in games against power four opponents.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tUCF will come to the Tallahassee Regional for the third time in the last four seasons. The Knights enter the regional with a 38-16-1 record and a 14-9-1 record in the Big 12. The Knights have seven ranked wins this season including ranked wins over Arizona State (2x), Kansas (2x), Oklahoma State (2x) and LSU.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tJacksonville State had a great season with a 45-14 record and 24-3 conference record in the C-USA to sweep the regular season and tournament titles.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nNCAA Tournament History<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tFlorida State will be playing in its 26th consecutive regional and its 38th overall NCAA Tournament this weekend.&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU holds a 114-83 record in the NCAA Tournament and a 79-43 record in NCAA Regionals.&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU has advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals in 11 out of the last 12 seasons.&#13;<br \/>\n\tSince 2013, FSU has lost just five games in a NCAA Regional.&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU will be looking to qualify for its 13th Women&#8217;s College World Series.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nSeries History<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tFlorida State has dominated Stetson in the two teams&#8217; history. The Noles have won 17 out of the 18 all-time meetings against Stetson with the Hatters&#8217; one win coming in 1987.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU leads the all-time series against UCF 26-5 and has won the last 16 matchups against the Knights. FSU is 6-0 all-time against the Knights in the postseason.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tJacksonville State returns to Tallahassee for the second time for a Tallahassee Regional. The Gamecocks came to Tallahassee in 2018 for the Tallahassee Regional where the Noles won 8-0 and 10-0 on their way to a National Championship. Jacksonville State did defeat the Seminoles twice in the Tuscaloosa Regional in 2008.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\nLast Time Out<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Noles went 3-0 last week to secure its 20th ACC Tournament Championship last weekend in Charlottesville, Va.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU defeated Georgia Tech 2-1, No. 17 Stanford 9-0 in five innings and No. 16 Virginia Tech 2-1 to win the championship.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe pitching staff was elite as the Noles allowed just one earned run in the three games and had 15 strikeouts compared to just five walks. ACC Tournament MVP <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/jazzy-francik\/8020\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8020\" target=\"_blank\">Jazzy Francik<\/a> led the way as she threw 11.2 innings and allowed just one earned run on her way to a 2-0 week. \u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nBuilt to Finish<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tA <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/coaches\/lonni-alameda\/670\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"670\" target=\"_blank\">Lonni Alameda<\/a> team seems to always play its best ball in April and May and they look to be on the same path this year.&#13;<br \/>\n\tSince the 2021 season, FSU is 126-25-1 in the months of April and May&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nTorres Putting Together One of the Greatest Seasons in College Softball History<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/isa-torres\/6544\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6544\" target=\"_blank\">Isa Torres<\/a> has put together one of the most impressive offensive runs in college softball history this season. \u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tTorres was named the ACC Player of the Year and the ACC Defensive Player of the Year. Torres is just the second Seminole to win both of those awards in the same season, joining Jessi Warren in 2017.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tTorres joined Jessi Warren and Sydney Sherrill to win the ACC Defensive Player of the Year award.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tTorres went on a record-breaking run where she set the NCAA record for consecutive hits as Torres went 16-for-16 over the course of seven games from March 8-21.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tTorres also reached base in 23 consecutive plate appearances which is the third-longest streak in NCAA history and is a new FSU record.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tEven after missing eight games, Torres is still fourth in the country with 90 hits.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tTorres is third in the country with a .542 batting average and is fourth in the country with a .605 on base percentage.&#13;<br \/>\n\tTorres also ranks eighth in the country with a 1.012 slugging percentage. \u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn the March 6 win at Coastal Carolina, Torres set a school record with six hits in six at-bats for the Seminoles.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tTorres is just the third Seminole to record over five hits in a game and is the first Division I player since 2017 to record six hits in a seven-inning game.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tOver the course of her career, Torres is hitting .440 which ranks fifth among active DI players but is first among DI players that have recorded over 500 at-bats.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tTorres also shines defensively as she has committed just one error in 164 chances.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tTorres is the only shortstop in the country and one of just two middle infielders to have one or fewer errors in 150+ chances.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tAgainst Dartmouth, Torres hit an inside-the-park home run to end the game in six innings. Torres was the first Seminole to hit an inside-the-park home run since Carsyn Gordon on May 19, 2018.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tTorres had a record season in 2025 as she broke the FSU record with a .436 batting average.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tMaybe the most impressive stat in Torres&#8217; 2025 season was that she struck out just five times in 218 at bats.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tTorres tallied 95 hits in 2025 which was the third most in FSU history.&#13;<br \/>\n\tTorres was a Top 10 Finalist for the USA Softball Player of the Year award and was a unanimous Preseason All-American.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nFSU&#8217;s Offense Proving to be One of Nation&#8217;s Best Again<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU has only been known for its success in the circle, but the offense has been one of the nation&#8217;s best the past couple of seasons and has caught fire once again this season.&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU leads in the country in doubles, second in total sac flies, 10th in batting average, 10th in triples and 13th in hits.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU is averaging 7.42 runs per game which ranks 16th in the country.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn 2025, FSU finished in the top 10 in the country in batting average, hits, RBI, runs per game and triples.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU scored the fourth-most runs in school history last season and had the fourth-most hits in school history. The Noles also hit the third-most home runs in school history last season.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nNoles Have Turned the Corner to Become Dominant in the Circle<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Florida State pitching staff took some punches in a three-game sweep at Stanford on April 10-12 but have responded in a big way.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn those three games against Stanford, FSU allowed 22 runs and surrendered 22 walks compared to just 18 strikeouts. In 14 games since, six games against top 10 offenses, the pitching staff has allowed just 22 runs, 31 walks but has struck out 72.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn its last six games, the Noles have allowed just one earned run.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/ashtyn-danley\/6542\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6542\" target=\"_blank\">Ashtyn Danley<\/a> has led the charge in the resurgence as the junior has allowed just one earned run in her last 24.2 innings and has struck out 23 compared to just five walks.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/jazzy-francik\/8020\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8020\" target=\"_blank\">Jazzy Francik<\/a> has also been great with a 1.27 ERA in her last 49.2 innings.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nSeeing Double(s) and Triple(S)<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tOne thing about the Noles is that if they can get extra bases, they will.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU has been one of the nation&#8217;s best teams at hitting doubles the past five seasons and this year is no different.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU has ranked in the top 25 in doubles every year for the past five seasons and has ranked in the top 10 in doubles in three of those seasons. FSU led the nation in doubles in 2023.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThis year, FSU leads the nation with 114 doubles and is chasing the school record of 122 doubles which was set in 2023.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/marin-heller\/8032\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8032\" target=\"_blank\">Marin Heller<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/isa-torres\/6544\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6544\" target=\"_blank\">Isa Torres<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/ashtyn-danley\/6542\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6542\" target=\"_blank\">Ashtyn Danley<\/a> have combined to 49 doubles and all rank in the top 12 of the ACC in total doubles.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU has also been great at getting three bags this season.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU ranks 10th in the country with 20 triples.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/isa-torres\/6544\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6544\" target=\"_blank\">Isa Torres<\/a> leads the ACC and is 17th in the country with six triples.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tLast season, FSU finished seventh in the country with 21 triples.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nNoles\u00a0Have\u00a0Improved Immensely\u00a0Defensively in 2026<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tOne of FSU&#8217;s most improved areas this season has been in the field.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tSo far this season, FSU holds a .984 fielding percentage which ranks third in the country and first in the ACC.&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU has committed just 23 errors in 1,533 chances.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFSU is also one of the best teams in the country in turning double plays. FSU has turned 31 double plays this season which leads the ACC and is eighth in the country. FSU&#8217;s 31 double plays is the fourth-most in school history. The school record is 34 double plays which was set in the 2018 season.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tLast season, FSU had a .963 fielding percentage that ranked 131st in the country and 10th in the ACC.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nFSU Freshmen Continue to Shine<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/coaches\/lonni-alameda\/670\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"670\" target=\"_blank\">Lonni Alameda<\/a> expected big things out of the freshmen class this season, and they have delivered so far.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFreshmen <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/marin-heller\/8032\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8032\" target=\"_blank\">Marin Heller<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/makenna-sturgis\/8030\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8030\" target=\"_blank\">Makenna Sturgis<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/anna-hinde\/8036\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8036\" target=\"_blank\">Anna Hinde<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/hayley-griggs\/8028\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"8028\" target=\"_blank\">Hayley Griggs<\/a> have combined to hit .326 with 17 home runs and 124 RBI.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tCoach Alameda started four freshmen on opening day for the first time in her time at Florida State. FSU and NC State are the only P4 programs to start four true freshmen on opening day.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\nBeachum Continues to be One of Nation&#8217;s Most Dangerous Bats<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/jaysoni-beachum\/6540\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6540\" target=\"_blank\">Jaysoni Beachum<\/a> has become one of the nation&#8217;s most dangerous bats in all of the country and looks to be back to her normal self in 2026.&#13;<br \/>\n\tSo far in 2026, Beachum is hitting .404 with eight home runs and a team-leading 61 RBI.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tBeachum has reached base safely in her last 45 games which is tied for the second-longest streak in FSU history. Maddie O&#8217;Brien holds the school record with 50-consecutive games where she reached base.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tBeachum has also been walked 51 times this season giving her a .548 on base percentage. Beachum has drawn 0.89 walks per game which is second in the ACC and 16th in the country.&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn three seasons, Beachum holds a .374 batting average with 35 home runs and 172 RBI.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tBeachum&#8217;s 35 home runs is tied for eighth all-time in FSU history and her 172 RBI ranks seventh in FSU history.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tAfter winning the NFCA Freshman of the Year award in 2024, Beachum&#8217;s numbers took a dip, but she was still very effective as she hit 11 home runs and 45 RBI.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn her freshman season, Beachum hit .417 which is the fourth-best mark in FSU history.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tAlso in her freshman campaign, Beachum broke the freshman record with 66 RBI and had the second-most home runs as a freshman in FSU history with 16.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nAshtyn &#8220;Do It All&#8221; Danley<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/ashtyn-danley\/6542\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6542\" target=\"_blank\">Ashtyn Danley<\/a> has been doing a little bit of everything as of late and has made her case as one of the best two-way players in the country.&#13;<br \/>\n\tDanley has taken a huge jump offensively this season and is hitting .351 with eight home runs and 50 RBI. Her home run and RBI totals are both career highs.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tDanley has also been great in the circle this season, Danley is 12-1 with 34 appearances in the circle and holds a 2.04 ERA. Francik picked up two wins in the ACC Tournament and allowed just one earned run in 11.2 innings.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFrancik threw her fourth career no-hitter against Boston College on May 1. Francik is the first FSU player since Meghan King to have four or more career solo no-hitters .&#13;<br \/>\n\tFrancik won back-to-back ACC Pitcher of the Week awards to start the season. Francik is the first FSU pitcher to win back-to-back ACC Pitcher of the Week awards since Meghan King in 2019.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tOn opening week, Francik picked up three wins, did not allow a run in 17 innings and threw a no-hitter on opening night against Samford.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFrancik&#8217;s no-hitter against Samford was the second no-hitter on opening day in FSU history. Francik joined Julie Larsen who threw a no-hitter against West Florida on opening day in 1986.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFrancik&#8217;s 17 consecutive scoreless innings was the longest streak to start a season since Meghan King in 2019. King threw 18 scoreless innings to start the season.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFrancik finished 2025 with a 1.51 ERA which was the lowest ERA in the ACC and the lowest ERA of any freshman in the country.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFrancik finished with a 10-3 record and pitched 92.2 innings.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFrancik recorded eight saves which was a freshman record at FSU and the second-most in school history.&#13;<br \/>\n\tFrancik struck out 87 batters and surrendered just 19 walks and held opponents to just a .191 batting average.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tFrancik allowed just 14 extra base hits in 2025.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tOn May 3, 2025, Francik threw the first ever no-hitter against a ranked opponent against Virginia Tech.
