HUDSON, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 A Pasco County man says a tornado ripped the roof off his home Tuesday, as the National Weather Service<\/a> confirmed two EF-0 tornadoes touched down in Florida<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The storms moved through parts of Hudson with little warning, bringing strong winds that left a trail of damage in their wake. While no serious injuries have been reported, residents described sudden and intense conditions.<\/p>\n

Bruce Markey, who lives in Hudson<\/a>, said the storm hit quickly and violently.<\/p>\n

Two EF-0 tornadoes touched down in Pasco County, including one that a Hudson homeowner says blew off his roof and wrecked his son\u2019s truck. (CNN Newsource) <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cA huge gust came and basically pushed the door shut on me. And then I heard a loud [noise], and the roof was gone,\u201d Markey said.<\/p>\n

He added that the damage extended beyond his home.<\/p>\n

Officials say EF-0 tornadoes are considered the weakest on the Enhanced Fujita scale, with winds typically ranging from 65 to 85 miles per hour. Even so, they can cause significant localized damage, especially to roofs, vehicles, and trees.<\/p>\n

Crews are continuing to assess the extent of the damage in Pasco County, while residents begin cleanup efforts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"HUDSON, Fla.
